Peer Evaluation: Chloe

WWW:
-Your Ident shows originality and flare because you have made yours unique and different from the rest of the class by using a character to follow by if you were to create more Idents.
-You have taken risks in order to make yours look professional and you have been successful with this. Your work conveys imagination for individuality and preperation, showing that you would be able to create other Idents continining your theme.
-To me, I don't think you asked many questions, only technical difficulties with the speed of the software you was using. You demonstrated independence and professional expectations.

EBI:
-The only thing I spotted is that your Ident could run smoother.

Final Review of Ident

When I first came up with my new idea I wasn’t sure how I was going to set it, but then I decided I would try and make it look like the TV was in a corner of a room on the wall. I showed this by having the background as some wallpaper that you might see in a normal house. The way I did it was; get a picture of wallpaper then enlarge it into Photoshop on my background layer, then I just worked over it.
One of the more creative parts of making my ident was making the logo and the characters. First of all I decided to make the logo and because the channels is ‘the grid’ I thought it would be a good idea to make the logo a grid. I did this by going onto adobe firewall. I then added the text, which was hard because I had to choose a colour that would be easy enough to see over the grid.  Then back in Photoshop I had I to make my characters, which were a splodge and a shark like character. These characters were easy to make, I made them by just manipulating different shapes and putting them together. The shark character was the hardest to make because it originally looked a lot like Pac man so I had to work to make it look original and fresh.
The hardest part of the task was animating the ident and making it work, I found it most difficult because I accidently make my canvas size bigger then it was meant to be and therefore when making new frames it became very slow and crashed on some occasions. Apart from the speed of Photoshop I found it okay and I thought that the way I animated the ident was very smooth in places and showed a good understanding.
I created my own music for my ident in ‘garage band’, which is very good and easy to use software that helps you to create your own music. It didn’t take me long to make but when making it I think I got carried away and the final out come possibly didn’t match up to the ident as well as it could have if I had used different instruments.
When I finally found a computer that wouldn’t freeze when I opened my Photoshop ident it was very easy to export and open up into final cut. In final cut I tweaked it and made it more realistic and better. Then when exporting it from final cut I had to fiddle with the canvas size and resolutions but with help from Mr. Winter and I found this very easy.

Final Ident

New PowerPoint with improvements

Graphics

This is my first graphic and it is the TV splodge, this little creature comes out to play every-time our TVs are off and our backs are turned. This little character is harmless but hunted by another nasty graphic.

This is the TV shark a nasty creature who stalks down the splodge in an attempt to eat him and feed. This character  unfortunately comes out at the same time as TV splodge which makes thing very interesting.

New presentation and new idea

After my first presentation I was told I would have to present my idea again. When re-making and re-writing my presentation I realised that I had stronger ideas that would probably get me more marks so I changed my idea. My new idea was all to do with creatures that live in our technology but we can never see them, this idea would be good because it could lead into a series of Idents not just one on its own.
