File  types and why you would save it as that.

Letter Head.
When I create my logo to be a letter head I think I will save it as a .JPG (JPEG). I would save it as that because it is the most suitable for going on the top of a letter. It will flatten all the layers and would be of a good enough quality to be put as a small logo at the top of a letter.

Home page of a the website.
I would save my logo as either one of two possible file formats. If I wanted it to be an animated logo then I would decide to save it as a .Gif  this would allow me to have it animated. Yet if I wanted it to be static then I would save it as a .PNG this would be good to save as because it would be widely  supported on the internet.

Magazine
If I was to print a logo for a magazine less it was a huge logo I would choose to print the logo a a JPEG, this is because Jpegs are good to print with because they are not huge files. Yet if you were to print it you should make sure that you had the JPG at its highest quality possible.

Vector File
When I create my Billboard logo I will defiantly save it as a Vector because to put a logo onto a billboard it will have to be made big. So if you are going to make a huge image file that will be transferred into big sizes you want a file type that will not make our file go pixelated. A vector will not go pixelated because it doesn't save images as pixels , it uses sums and equations so it never loses quality.
